ACE Corridor Analysis:
Pleasanton
What is the ACE Corridor Study?
As the ACE service approaches the end of its first decade of
commuter rail service to the San Joaquin Valley, Tri-Valley and
Silicon Valley, the Regional Rail Commission is keenly aware of the
need to expand the existing ACE service and to improve the quality of
the service to ACE’s passengers. To this end the Commission has
appointed consultants to undertake a study during Summer/Fall of 2006
with three key deliverables:
- A short term (i.e. 1-5 years) Action Plan to improve and
increase ACE Service between Stockton and San Jose.
- A longer term (i.e. 6-10 years) Action Plan to improve and
increase ACE Service between Stockton and San Jose.
- An Action Plan detailing the steps that will need to be taken to
improve the ACE-BART connection at Pleasanton.
